The Great Outdoors, Right Next Door
- First Friday Kayak Races
- New this year, the Chicago launch is holding informal races on the first Friday of each month; give yourself a chance to see how fast you are, measure yourself against a little competition, and have fun.
- Races are round trip, up-river and back.
- $5 to enter with your own boat; $15 to use one of ours;
- reserve or walk-up, but we'll max at 35 participants and 20 rental boats; to reserve, call 773 704-2663 or e-mail us.
- Friday, June 4th & July 2nd results below (both were 4.25 miles)
- Friday, August 6th, 7:00 (4.25 miles)
- Friday, Sept. 3rd, 7:00 (3.75 mile 'sunset sprint')
Other Races - we'll rent any of our boats, dropping them off at the starting line and picking them up at the finish. Call 773 704-2663 or e-mail us.
- Flatwater Classic - Sunday, October 4th
- Canoes - $55 (includes paddles, PFD's, drop-off and pick-up)
- Tandem Kayaks - $50 (same)
