MOONLIGHT DINNER PADDLES
ChicagoSkokie
Our traditional dinner cruise. Choose your favorite boat and paddle with us in the twilight up to River Park, where we'll disembark for a surprisingly nice riverside picnic dinner on the grass. Then paddle back by the light of the moon and the antique fixtures of the Addison bridge.
  • starts and finishes at our Chicago launch.
  • allow around 3 hours
  • Saturdays:
    • Oct. 10 (5:30 launch)
  • Dinner is chicken skewers & grilled vegetables or a vegetarian meal from Noon-o-Kabab.
If you'd like a lighter paddle, the Skokie Moonlight Dinner is a good choice. Choose your boat and paddle out into the twilight. When you return, we'll have your dinner waiting at the picnic tables so you can eat at the top of the riverbank by the light of the moon and stars.
  • starts and finishes at our Skokie launch
  • allow 2 and a half hours.
  • Saturdays:
    • Skokie dinner trips are now finished for the season.
  • Dinner is from Noon-o-Kabab w/ a vegetarian option.
RESERVATIONS
Moonlight Dinner are by reservation only: e-mail or call @ 773 704-2663. The cost is $45/person, which includes everything -- dinner, boat, gear and life jackets. We'll need:
  • your boat preference (canoe or single or tandem kayak)
  • the date you're looking for
  • the number of people
  • whether you prefer a vegetarian plate instead of chicken skewers with rice and grilled vegetables.
  • your e-mail and a good Saturday afternoon phone number, in case we have to discuss the weather forecast.

Many thanks to Brett of Brett's Cafe Americain, our Roscoe Village dinner partner from 2001 to 2006. She's moving to San Miguel Allende in Mexico to start an Inn and an Indian restaurant. To see her plans, look at http://bretts.wordpress.com.
