That Dam Lagoons tour: A guided tour through the less-traveled ponds north of the Tower Rd. dam, launching from our Tower Rd. launch

This is a really pretty area. Some of the channels are quite narrow and others open up with tall trees all around;
Water lily blossoms and "Cormorant Bay"
3 short portages of about 10 feet each; we'll help, but this does make it a bit more strenuous
allow about 2 hours.

The Hidden River trip: A guided tour down the beautiful but rarely-paddled upper North Branch, launching from Forestway Dr. just north of Willow Rd. and finishing at Linnea Woods forest preserve (on Dempster)
- This six mile tour winds through Harms Woods and other forest preserve lands, sometimes near the bike path, but more often next to mink and deer trails.
- 2 portages at small dams; some unscheduled portages around logjams; we'll help you at these points.
- allow 3 hours or so.
